Jackets, LV Duffel, Brogues, etc.
Our first Walk will feature 10 of the day’s finds: Jared Leto, JFW Tokyo SS2010, Joe Jonas, JR Isaac’s Jacket, Kenzo Floral Jacket, Louis Vuitton Soccer Duffel, Prada Brogues, Prada Men’s FW2010-11, Splash of Colours and Top Up-Do.
Now, let’s see the Report Cards:
Jared Leto’s Ensemble - Forgetting about that scarf, Jared’s white-on-white over dark denim wouldn’t be that hard to do if you’re aiming for a relaxed sundowner get-up. Just make sure the jacket doesn’t have the same texture as the shirt, or it will be boring. The hair here is dispensable, though, try the one on our list (see below). It-Degree: 240
JFW Tokyo SS2010 Collection - This is just one of the looks from JFW that features whites, tans, beige and nude colours for men next season. Notice how ordinary the shirt is? But the pairing it with the super-loose elephant-sized soft pants is the way to go. If you’re going with this look, try tszujing it with a few combination-length necklaces. It-Degree: 180
Joe Jonas’ Jacket – JUST the jacket. The blue-and-gray colours give off a very masculine but playful appeal (tartan prints). Pair this with the next season’s up-and-coming slim-cut chinos or dark soft denim, and the whole place will be yours. It-Degree: 240
JR Isaac’s Jacket – Again, just the jacket. Whether it is powder blue or turquoise, the jacket is fabulous. I may not root for the pink-and-blue combo on the shirt and tie, but the jacket is a statement, almost quintessential, for this year. It-Degree: 360
Kenzo Floral Jacket – It’s Anna Wintour’s mock of ‘groundbreaking’ florals for Spring. But yes, it is really florals this year. Kenzo muted the colours and printed it on the most earthy of tones–brown. A good pair would be a pastel yellow shirt and cotton pants. It-Degree: 240
Louis Vuitton Soccer Duffel Bag – There will only be a few fellas who would love to have luxury and soccer engraved on a bag at the same time. If you’re one of them, then this LV Duffel is yours for the taking. Although I am not very sure about the proportion of the handle to the overall size, the old-rich colours is a definite compensation. The price tag may be hefty, too (men’s bags are always more expensive). It-Degree: 180
Prada Brogues – Trust me, even if it is not Prada, classic brogues are back. A few of you may still be rooting for Supras and high-top sneakers, but this one, if you’re out with friends or enjoying your dates on the 14th, will definitely make bystanders root for you. It-Degree: 360
Prada Men’s FW 2010-11 Collection – It’s going to be long and short, dark and colourful, tight and loose. Even if you live in a tropical country, any of this combination will work if you choose the right fabric. Inspire yourself now. It-Degree: 180
A Splash of Colour! - If you’re the person who has a wardrobe composed of 90% blacks, then make the 10% a splash of colour. The recession is almost on its way out now so there’s no reason to be in a Black Tuesday outfit everyday. It-Degree: 240
Top-Up-Do – As I usually plan a new hairstyle three months before I hit the salon, this time, I think it wouldn’t be enough; I would need another one or two. This hairstyle is so big in Tokyo and Milan right now, but not a lot of fashionistos have taken it out to the streets yet, except for the punk dudes. I would love to have this mane soon!
