Blues, The Neckerchief, etc.
Today’s Walk has 10 interesting finds again.I’m not trying to keep at 10, though. Let’s just start rolling.
David Guetta and Wife Cathy at the Grammys – I have not seen them during my roundabout for Grammy Red Carpet action, but it’s better late than never. David’s gray military-inspired jacket from Dolce & Gabbana is one of this season’s staples. But since I’m from the more humid part of Asia, I’ll just save it for some northward treks. I like his utility boots, too. Cathy looked so glam in those boots, by the way. It-Degree: 180
Double-Vision by Stephanie Lipp for ModeXY Online Magazine - I have seen a lot of experimental photography techniques in the past years and not a lot of them were used in fashion shoots. This one, though, by Stephanie Lipp (see the whole series here), combined with well-thoughtout styling and art direction, blur the thin line that separates art photography and fashion photography–in a very good way. Edmere on urbandictionary.com – Cousins Michele and Dino from California posted something on Facebook about looking up your name on urbandictionary.com, so I tried it and found out that my name’s not in there yet. Either I write something about it… or find something that sounds the same. It-Degree: 180
Edmirer on urbandictionary.com – Well, this one is hilarious. I have never heard of anything like this that related to the Twilight mania. Take a peek. It-Degree: 90
It-Fell-Short Pants - Seeing this Fall trend gliding up and down the runway, from Dior Homme to Junya Watanabe, the dress-pants-that-fell-short looks like a hit already. It-Degree: 240
Short Hair (Again) - Yesterday, I have mentioned about the Top-Up-Do and how I plan of achieving it. Well, today is a different story. It’s still going to be short but no buzzed cut anymore. That’s going to be more versatile, eh? It-Degree: 360
Mismo Document Bag - This Danish company has recently given birth to a lovely–a canvas-and-leather Document Bag in midnight blue. The contrast of the bright leather and dark canvas is so enticing, I want to have it right away. However, I don’t know if Mismo sells in Asia already. I hope it’s affordable, though. It-Degree: 240
The Neckerchief – Oh, I have tons of them! It has been a while since the gentlemen has sported the neckerchief in style. If you have seen Sherlock Holmes and Dorian Gray in the movies lately, you’ll know what I mean. Whether you pair it with plain crewneck shirt or as a replacement for ties, it’s going to be a focus piece. Featured above is a bandana from Drakes of London. It-Degree: 360
River Island Spring 2010 and the Color Blue - Say yes if you think that: blue has been out since SS2009. And it doesn’t stop showing up everywhere–from runway to pret-a-porter–and from jackets to scarves and slip-ons. I think you guys have to go get some now. Now. Now. It-Degree: 360
Soulland Spring 2010 Collection - Prints, patterns, aquamarines, blues,short-sleeved shirts, short shorts, cutout pants, and everyday-stuff necklaces–I think it’s going to be a ‘laidback-feel’ Spring this year. The combination of all these may be too much for some, so just try putting together two or three: for example, blue shirts, necklaces and patterned shorts, prints and dark cutout pants, among others. Hit me up if you ever need any advice. It-Degree: 360
